Scorrenza Terms of Use
Interim text 0.1 — closed beta · Effective: 17 October 2026
Scorrenza is currently in closed beta and has not yet been made available to the general public. This text is an interim text that applies during the beta. Before the app is published in the store, it will be replaced by a new, permanent terms of use text; you will be notified of the new text separately.
1. What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of the Scorrenza Android app and of the pages at scorrenza.com and app.scorrenza.com (together, the "Service"). "Scorrenza", "we" and "us" refer to the person who provides the Service and who is named as data controller in the Privacy Policy.
How your personal data is processed is explained in a separate text, the Privacy Policy. The two texts are read together.
By using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Scorrenza is a sheet music reader that lets you open, read and mark up your own PDF scores and change their page layout. You can use the reader without creating an account.
The Page Turner feature listens to the music you play through your device's microphone, finds your place in the score and turns the page by itself. (In the current version of the Privacy Policy this feature is called "Conductor".) Sound is processed only on your device, in real time; it is not recorded and not sent to us.
When you turn on the Page Turner feature for a score for the first time, the PDF file of that score is uploaded to our server and the data the feature needs to work with that score is prepared. You are informed before the upload. Details are in section 4 of the Privacy Policy.
The closed beta is a trial period. During this period the Service may change or be interrupted temporarily, and some features may be added or removed.
3. What the Page Turner does and does not do
The Page Turner feature may not work with every score and in every performance: some scores cannot be prepared for this feature, and with a prepared score the page may be turned late or not at all. If the feature cannot be used with a score, the app tells you so.
While the Page Turner is on, you can always turn pages by hand and you can always switch the feature off.
4. Account
Creating an account is optional. Scorrenza is for users aged 13 and over; children under 13 cannot create an account. If you are between 13 and 15, your account is opened with your parent's consent (Privacy Policy, section 11). The information you give when creating an account must be accurate, and the e-mail address must be yours.
No password is used to sign in; a one-time link or code is sent to your e-mail. Please do not share this link or code with anyone, and take care of the security of your e-mail account.
Your account is personal; it cannot be transferred to or shared with anyone else. Your account can be signed in on only one device at a time; when you sign in on another device, the session on the previous device is closed.

5. Fees
During the closed beta no in-app purchases are made and you are not charged. Access to the Page Turner feature may be granted to beta participants' accounts for a limited time and may end automatically when that time is over.
Before paid use begins, prices and purchase terms will be stated clearly; these terms will be renewed before that date.
6. Your scores and the files you upload
Your scores, markings and library are yours and are kept on your device. Only the PDF file you upload for the Page Turner feature reaches our server.
When you upload a PDF, you declare that you have the right to upload that file: you may be the rights holder of the work and the edition, the work and the edition may be in the public domain, or you may have obtained the file lawfully and have the right to use it personally.
You allow us, free of charge and for the periods stated in the Privacy Policy, to store and process the file you upload solely in order to provide the Page Turner feature to you and to users who upload the same file, and to improve this feature. Your file and your identity are not shown to any other user.
We ask you not to put other people's personal data in the documents you upload.
We recommend that you back up the data on your device: when you uninstall the app, the data in the app's own storage is deleted. The backup file in the app is not encrypted; take care where you keep it.
7. What belongs to us
The app, the web pages, the software, the design, the texts, the Scorrenza name and logo, and the data generated to prepare a score belong to Scorrenza. These terms do not give you any ownership right in them.
The data generated to prepare a score is only for use within the app and for your personal use. You may not extract this data from the device, copy it, share it with others or use it in other software. When you sign out or your account is closed, this data is deleted from your device.
8. What you must not do
When using the Service you may not:
- upload to our server a work you have no right to upload;
- share your account or try to access someone else's account;
- extract data from the Service in bulk with automated tools;
- try to decode or reverse engineer the app or its communication with the server, or to circumvent security measures or usage limits (except where the law expressly allows it);
- disrupt the operation of the Service or use the Service for an unlawful purpose.
9. Copyright notices
If you are the rights holder of a work and believe your rights have been infringed in the Service, please write to info@scorrenza.com. In your notice, state your identity and contact details, the work and the edition, and if possible the PDF file concerned. The steps we follow after a notice are described in section 4 of the Privacy Policy ("Copyright infringement notice").
10. Deleting your account and end of access
You can delete your account at any time from the app or from the account deletion page. After a deletion request there is a 30-day waiting period, during which you can restore your account (Privacy Policy, section 8). Deleting your account does not affect the library on your device.
If you breach these terms, we may, after telling you the reason, close your access to the Page Turner feature or suspend your account.
We may end the closed beta; we will announce this in advance in the app or by e-mail to the address registered to your account.
11. Other sites and services
The app or our web pages may link to other sites. Those sites and third-party services such as Google Play are subject to their own terms.
12. Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms restricts liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or the legal rights you have as a consumer.
These terms are governed by Turkish law. The consumer protection rules of the country where you live that cannot be changed by contract remain unaffected.
13. Changes, language and contact
We may change these terms. We will notify you of a material change at least 2 weeks before it takes effect, in the app and by e-mail to the address registered to your account. The version and effective date are shown at the top of the text.
These terms were prepared in Turkish and translated into other languages. If the language versions conflict, the Turkish text prevails.
